Wij zijn een authentieke jazz dansschool voor volwassenen. Wij bieden vintage jazz dansen (uit jaren 1920-40): Lindy Hop, Balboa, Collegiate Shag, Blues en authentieke Solo Jazz lessen.
The Hague Hoppers swing dance school offers an array of Lindy Hop and Authentic Jazz dance classes, such as Balboa, Collegiate Shag, Solo Jazz, Blues, sharing our years of experience in dancing and teaching. We also have a weekly dance practice and social dance to live jazz bands (suspended at the moment because of COVID-19). The Hague Hoppers dance school was born out of a love of Lindy Hop in 2016. Lindy Hop is an American partnered jazz dance from the early 20th century, the result of a blending of African rhythms and body movement with European partnered dance forms and techniques adapted to fit changing popular music. Swing dance groups can be found in most major cities across the world; connecting people across language and culture barriers. Initially, the main teachers of the school were expats and we still hold our classes in English to serve the wide international community of the Hague. The classes take place in two studios in the Centre of the Hague. We can also provide one-off workshops, taster classes, performance pieces, flash mobs to educate and entertain public at the festivals, parties, and events.
